Showami: On-Demand Showing Agent Platform

Showami: On-Demand Showing Agent Platform

Showami is an on-demand platform that connects real estate agents who need help with showings (or tasks like open house coverage, photography, or lockbox access) with other licensed agents who can step in.

Think of it as a back-up agent network: if you’re double-booked, out of town, or just need support, Showami lets you outsource showings quickly and reliably.

Key Features:

  • Free to sign up (no monthly fees for the basic version).

  • Pay only when you schedule a showing.

  • Licensed agents can earn income by accepting showing requests.

How Showami Works

As the Requesting Agent

  1. Create a free Showami account and add your profile/payment info.

  2. Post a showing request: enter property address, buyer info, date/time, and special notes.

  3. Set your showing fee (usually $45–$400 per showing).

  4. Local agents receive the request and can accept or counter-propose.

  5. Once accepted, the showing agent coordinates access with the listing agent.

  6. After completion, your card is charged and you can rate/tip the showing agent.

💡 Tip: Bundle multiple showings in one request so the same agent can handle all of them in a single trip.

As the Showing Agent

  • Must be a licensed real estate professional with MLS access.

  • Download the Showami app, set up your profile, and accept showings as they’re posted.

  • Meet the buyer at the property and complete the showing per instructions.

  • Get paid once the showing is complete (earnings depend on the offered amount).

Pricing & Compensation

Item Details
Per-showing fee $45–$400, set by the requesting agent
Average showing fee Around $50
Showing agent earnings Varies (~$28–$367 per showing depending on offer)
Platinum membership $75/year (discounts + faster payouts)
Brokerage plan $50–$350+/month, depending on # of agents (for team/broker use)

If the price offered is too low, agents may counter with a higher rate.

Benefits of Using Showami

For Requesting Agents

  • Avoid scheduling conflicts and keep your clients happy.

  • Maintain flexibility while scaling your business.

  • Expand your service area without being physically present at every showing.

For Showing Agents

  • Earn additional income on a flexible schedule.

  • Gain experience in different neighborhoods and property types.

  • Network with other agents in your market.

Best Practices

  • Price fairly: Too low and agents won’t accept; too high and you cut into margins. Aim for ~$50/showing.

  • Debrief clients: Make sure buyers know you remain their main contact — the showing agent is simply assisting.

  • Stay compliant: Advertising and representation rules still apply. Ensure the showing agent doesn’t give pricing or negotiation advice unless authorized.

  • Plan ahead: Last-minute requests may go unaccepted, especially in smaller markets.

  • Quality control: Ask for showing notes, photos, or buyer feedback after each appointment.

Example Scenario

  1. You’re booked with a listing presentation at the same time your buyer wants to see three homes.

  2. Post the request in Showami for $60.

  3. Another licensed agent accepts and meets your buyer at the properties.

  4. They complete the showings, send you notes, and you follow up with your buyer.

  5. Your client is happy, and you keep your commission.
