Business Cards & Signage Guidelines (Branding & Advertising Compliance)

Business Cards & Signage Guidelines (Branding & Advertising Compliance)

If you have not ordered from our preferred vendor at Markful, agents must submit all business card and signage designs to Support for approval before ordering.

This ensures your materials meet Dalton Wade branding standards and state advertising requirements.

Ordering Business Cards & Signs

  • Agents receive ordering information during onboarding

  • Dalton Wade has preferred vendors, but you may use any vendor you choose

  • If using a non-preferred vendor, all branding must still meet company guidelines

What Support Reviews

Support will review your design based on the following:

Business Card Requirements

  • Your name must appear exactly as it is registered on your real estate license

  • If using an LLC or PA:

    • It must be officially registered with your licensing authority before being used

2. Brokerage Identification

  • Dalton Wade must be clearly identifiable as the brokerage

  • The brokerage name should not be hidden, minimized, or unclear

3. Logo Usage

  • Use an approved Dalton Wade logo only

  • Do not alter, stretch, or recreate the logo

Signage Requirements

  • Must match your licensed name (same as business cards)

2. Brokerage Visibility

  • Dalton Wade must be clearly visible and identifiable

  • The brokerage should not appear secondary or misleading

3. Branding Consistency

  • Use approved logos and branding

  • Avoid creating designs that could confuse consumers about the brokerage

Advertising Compliance (All States)

All advertising—including business cards and signage—must:

  • Be truthful and not misleading

  • Clearly identify the brokerage

  • Avoid implying you are your own brokerage (if you are not)

Example:

If advertising incentives such as:

  • “Cash back”

  • “Commission rebate”

You must include appropriate disclosures, such as:

  • “Subject to lender approval” (if applicable)

State-Specific Rules

Advertising rules vary by state and may include:

  • Font size requirements for brokerage name

  • Restrictions on team names

  • Required disclosures or wording

  • Rules around rebates or incentives

👉 Agents are responsible for following their state-specific regulations

If you are unsure, please contact Support before ordering.

Approval Process

If Design Meets Guidelines:

  • Support will approve your design

  • Your request will be completed

If Design Needs Changes:

  • Support will provide guidance or corrections

  • In some cases, designs may be escalated to Compliance for review

Best Practices

  • Keep designs clean and professional

  • Make the brokerage easy to identify

  • Double-check your licensed name and credentials

  • Submit designs early to avoid delays
