Transaction Fee Policy for Multiple Dalton Wade Agents on a Transaction

Transaction Fee Policy for Multiple Dalton Wade Agents on a Transaction

When multiple Dalton Wade agents are included on a Commission Disbursement Authorization (CDA), each Dalton Wade agent is responsible for paying their applicable transaction fee in accordance with their Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA).
This policy applies to all Dalton Wade agents, regardless of team status, commission splits, or referral arrangements. This takes effect as of July 1, 2026.

General Rule
Every Dalton Wade agent listed on the CDA is responsible for paying their own applicable transaction fee.
Transaction fees are based on the agent's commission plan:
  • Starter Plan: $79 transaction fee
  • Business Builder Plan: $79 transaction fee
  • No Monthly Fee Plan: $390 transaction fee
Each agent's transaction fee will be reflected on the CDA and will be sent to the corporate Dalton Wade office listed on the CDA.

Team Transactions
Being part of an approved Dalton Wade Team does not exempt any team member or team lead from paying a transaction fee.
If multiple Dalton Wade agents are listed on the CDA—including team members and team leads—each agent is responsible for paying their own applicable transaction fee.

Common Scenarios
The following are examples of situations where each Dalton Wade agent is responsible for paying their own transaction fee:
  • Two or more Dalton Wade agents split a commission.
  • Team transactions involving a team lead and one or more team members, even if it is just the team lead earning a split.
  • Referral transactions between Dalton Wade agents.
  • Two Dalton Wade agents co-list a property.
  • Two Dalton Wade agents represent opposite sides of the same transaction.
  • Any transaction where multiple Dalton Wade agents are listed on the CDA.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does being on a team waive my transaction fee?
No. Every Dalton Wade agent listed on the CDA is responsible for paying their applicable transaction fee, regardless of team status as of July 1, 2026.
If I receive a referral fee from another Dalton Wade agent, do I owe a transaction fee?
Yes. Both the referring agent and the receiving agent are responsible for paying their applicable transaction fees.
If another Dalton Wade agent and I split a commission, do we each pay a transaction fee?
Yes. Each Dalton Wade agent listed on the CDA is responsible for paying their own applicable transaction fee.
Does it matter how much commission I receive?
No. Transaction fee responsibility is based on being listed on the CDA as a Dalton Wade agent, not on the amount of commission received.
Why does each agent pay a transaction fee?
Each Dalton Wade agent enters into an Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) individually. Because the transaction fee is an individual contractual obligation, every Dalton Wade agent participating in the transaction is responsible for paying their own applicable transaction fee.
