Team marketing can be a powerful way to build brand awareness, generate leads, and demonstrate strength in your local market. However, all team marketing must comply with state advertising laws as well as Dalton Wade brokerage policies.
Before marketing under a team name, teams must first be registered and approved by the brokerage. If your team has not yet completed the registration process, please submit the Team Registration & Approval Form before using a team name in any marketing materials.
In addition, all teams must maintain a signed Team Agreement Template on file with the brokerage outlining the team’s structure and internal policies.
Every piece of marketing must clearly identify the brokerage.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Yard signs
Websites
Social media profiles
Business cards
Flyers and print materials
Email signatures
Online advertisements
Marketing materials should clearly include:
Dalton Wade Real Estate Group or Dalton Wade, Inc.
The brokerage phone number
Brokerage identification must always be clearly visible and compliant with applicable state advertising laws.
Brokerage identification must be clearly displayed and must not be minimized or hidden within marketing materials.
Many states require the brokerage name to be equal to or more prominent than the team or agent name. Always ensure that your marketing materials comply with the advertising rules applicable to your state.
Maintaining consistent branding across your team’s marketing helps strengthen recognition and professionalism.
Teams are encouraged to use Dalton Wade’s approved logos, colors, and branding guidelines when possible. For more information on Dalton Wade marketing resources and brand guidelines, please visit the brokerage marketing resources section in Dalton Wade Connect.
All team names must be approved by Dalton Wade before they can be used in advertising or marketing.
Teams may not advertise under a team name until they have completed the brokerage registration process through the Team Registration & Approval Form.
Team names must not imply that the team operates as a separate brokerage and must follow state regulations outlined in our Team Compliance & Advertising Guide.
Each state has its own advertising and marketing requirements for real estate licensees.
Before launching any marketing campaign or branded materials, agents should review the state-specific rules outlined in the Team Compliance & Advertising Guide.
These guidelines explain how brokerage names, license information, and team names must appear in advertising to remain compliant with state regulations.
Ensuring your marketing follows these rules protects both you and your clients while keeping your business in good standing.
