As a licensed real estate agent in Texas, the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires you to provide consumers with access to two important documents:
Information About Brokerage Services (IABS) Form
Consumer Protection Notice
These documents must be readily available and included in your digital communications, including your email signature and website.
IABS Form:
Must be provided to consumers at the first substantive communication about a real estate transaction.
In practice, this means every agent needs a working link in their email signature and on their website.
Consumer Protection Notice:
Must also be easily accessible on your website and linked in your email signature.
Format of Links:
The links must be active, working hyperlinks that go directly to the correct documents.
The text must clearly state:
“Texas law requires all license holders to provide the Information About Brokerage Services form to prospective clients.”
“Texas Real Estate Commission Consumer Protection Notice”

Here’s a sample compliant signature block:

Send yourself a test email.
Verify that both links are working properly.
Do not shorten links (bit.ly or tinyurl are not allowed).
Do not rename links with other wording (TREC requires the exact phrases).
Always keep them active — if you change email providers, be sure to re-add them.
Website compliance: Your personal/agent website, if you have one, must also display both links in a visible place (usually footer).
