Splitting Documents in Dotloop



To split documents apart to move to the correct placeholders in the folders, click on the document to open it:


Once open – click on “File” and “Split Document”:


Split document by the # of documents that were merged together. The # of pages will appear to help you when splitting and naming the documents.  You can scroll through the document to see what page the document starts on and ends on.  See below:


Once the documents are labeled with the page numbers – click on “Split Document” & “Done” - you have successfully split the document:


You will see the split documents in your folder:  


Moving the documents to the required placeholders

Click on file, hold the mouse key down and drag it to the placeholder and place it on top of an unsigned document to update with the new document. If you drag the document to a placeholder that already has that document, you will see “Replace” – click on “Yes” to replace the old with the new.   See “Dragging & Dropping, Archiving & Renaming files or folders.

Cannot split the document

When you open the document you want to split & the “Split Document” is grayed out:
-Click “Download” to download the document.
-Re-add it to your folder by clicking on “ADD DOCUMENT” and drag it from our download folder or desktop back to the folder.
-Once re-added – click “File” & “Split Document” and follow the above instructions for splitting.
