All Georgia agents are required to join and maintain membership with a board of REALTORS®, unless they qualify for a very specific exception outlined below.

Standard Requirement (Applies to Most Agents)

All Dalton Wade agents in Georgia must:

• Join a board of REALTORS®, and

• Maintain active membership in good standing throughout their time with Dalton Wade

This requirement applies to the majority of agents and is necessary for compliance with brokerage and REALTOR® association rules.

Limited Exception (GAMLS / FMLS Only)

An agent may not be required to join a board of REALTORS® only if BOTH of the following apply:

• The agent is only using GAMLS and/or FMLS, and

• The agent has never been a member of a board of REALTORS® (NAR)

If an agent has never been in the NAR system, they will not be flagged for membership.

Important Clarification

• If you are currently OR previously a member of a board of REALTORS®, you must maintain membership

• There are no exceptions once you are in the NAR system

• Agents who were previously told they did not need a board may still be required to join if they have prior NAR membership

What Happens if You Do Not Maintain Membership

Failure to meet board membership requirements may result in:

• Removal from Dalton Wade

• Loss of MLS access
