How to Start, Pause, or Stop a Smart Campaign in BoldTrail

Smart Campaigns in BoldTrail help automate follow-up with contacts through emails, text messages, tasks, and other activities.

You can manually add a Smart Campaign to a contact or manage an existing campaign directly from their CRM profile.

How to Start a Smart Campaign

  1. Log in to your Dalton Wade BoldTrail account.

  2. From the left-hand menu, navigate to Smart CRM or Contacts, depending on your dashboard layout.

  3. Use the search bar to find the contact you want to enroll in a campaign.

  4. Click the contact's name to open their profile.

  5. Locate the Active Campaigns section on the right side of the contact profile.

  6. Click + Add and select the Smart Campaign you want to start.

  7. Click Add to confirm.

The campaign should now appear under the contact's active campaigns.

Note: Some contacts may already be enrolled in campaigns automatically based on your account's campaign settings, lead source, or other enrollment rules. Review existing campaigns before adding another.

How to Pause or Stop a Smart Campaign

  1. Log in to BoldTrail.

  2. Open Smart CRM or Contacts.

  3. Search for the contact whose campaign you want to manage.

  4. Click the contact's name to open their profile.

  5. Find the Active Campaigns section.

  6. Click the pencil/edit icon next to the campaign you want to manage.

  7. Select the appropriate action, if available:

    • Pause: Temporarily stop the campaign's scheduled activities.

    • Restart/Resume: Continue a previously paused campaign.

    • Remove: Remove the campaign from that contact.

Important Reminders

  • Review a campaign's messages and activities before enrolling a contact.

  • Avoid adding multiple campaigns that could send overlapping or repetitive communications.

  • Make sure you have the appropriate consent before sending automated marketing emails or text messages.

  • Removing a campaign from one contact does not necessarily delete the campaign or change its settings for other contacts.

  • Pausing or removing a campaign may not affect messages or tasks that have already been completed.

Managing Smart Campaigns helps you maintain consistent follow-up while keeping communications relevant to each contact.
