E-Check Payments – How to Receive, Print & Deposit Your Commission

In certain situations, Dalton Wade may issue an agent's commission payment through an electronic check (e-check) instead of having the title company disburse the commission directly at closing.

E-checks are delivered by email through Online Checkwriter LLC and can be printed and deposited like traditional paper checks.

When Will I Receive an E-Check?

Dalton Wade may use e-checks when a commission cannot be disbursed directly by the title company at closing.

Examples include:

  • New construction transactions where the builder or closing company does not pay the agent directly.

  • Missing transaction files that have not been submitted to Dalton Wade.

  • Incomplete transaction files that require additional documentation or processing before payment can be issued.

Receiving an e-check does not eliminate the requirement to submit all necessary transaction documents and complete Dalton Wade's compliance process.

How Will I Receive My E-Check?

E-checks are sent to agents by email through Online Checkwriter LLC.

Look for an email with the subject line:

"You Received an e-Check From Dalton Wade."

If you do not see the email:

  1. Check your Spam or Junk folder.

  2. Search your inbox for Online Checkwriter or e-Check.

  3. If the email was delivered to Spam or Junk, mark the sender as safe to help prevent future messages from being filtered.

How to Print Your E-Check

Once you receive the email:

  1. Open the e-check notification from Online Checkwriter.

  2. Click Click Here To Print Your Check.

  3. Select your preferred paper type:

    • Check stock paper.

    • Plain white paper.

  4. Click Print to continue.

  5. Review the Print Preview to confirm that the check displays correctly.

  6. Click the Print icon in the upper-left corner to print your check.

Important: E-checks are provided as one-time printable PDFs. Before printing, confirm that your printer is connected, has sufficient paper and ink, and is working properly.

How to Deposit Your E-Check

After printing your e-check, you can deposit it using a method accepted by your bank.

Mobile Check Deposit

If your bank accepts printed e-checks through mobile deposit:

  1. Open your bank's mobile banking app.

  2. Navigate to the mobile check deposit feature.

  3. Follow the bank's instructions for photographing the front and back of your printed check.

  4. Submit the deposit for processing.

ATM Deposit

You may also be able to deposit the printed check at an ATM that accepts check deposits.

Note: Banks have different policies regarding electronically issued and printed checks. Confirm that your financial institution accepts printed e-checks before attempting a deposit.

What If I Cannot Print My E-Check?

Because the e-check is a one-time printable document, you may be unable to print it again if the original printing attempt fails.

If your check cannot be printed or you are unable to access it again, contact Dalton Wade Support to request assistance with having the check reissued.

Do not attempt to deposit multiple copies of the same check.
