Affiliated Business Disclosure: Requirements
It is a Florida statute that Dalton Wade disclose affiliated businesses. However, we do not require your client to utilize the services of our affiliated businesses, even when they are choosing the title company. However, we do believe in the value and benefit of the service provided by Turner Title and we view this as an opportunity to introduce the company while ensuring that we are in compliance with the law.
If your client absolutely refuses to sign the affiliated business disclosure, please be sure that you have record of sharing it with them via dotloop. You can use an exemption request, if necessary, but please be sure to share.
Here is how to get an exemption request:
From time to time there is a legitimate reason for not having a required file. In these cases, we have an exemption request available to you in dotloop. Here is how to access it :
- add document
- templates
- go to Dalton Wade custom forms
- the exemption request should be near or at the top
- check the box and copy it to the loop
- fill it out. It is super easy with just two fields . No signatures required
- drag it and drop it on top of the required item or placeholder.
- This way when you submit it for review, the system will allow it and it will explain to us the reason that that requirement should be exempted.
